About Us

Think SMArt. Think TZ.

About TZ Limited

With the advent of the Internet and the convergence of multiple technologies, such as wireless communication, embedded systems, wireless sensor networks, and micro-electro-mechanical systems, a new era is emerging which is known as the Internet of Things or IoT. The vision of IoT is for virtually all objects around us to be able to communicate with each other, exchange information and work in synergy to significantly improve our lives … in terms of convenience, comfort, productivity, efficiency and security.

TZ has been at the forefront of IoT research and development since 2004, and our TZ SMArt device technology offers a range of applications for integrated connectivity and automation in an agile world. Working together intelligently, a network of TZ SMArt Devices can offer a secure environment and provide a complete, real time view of the state of that protected environment. Our intelligent networks give the ability to track the behaviour – of people, things and data – through space, in real-time, delivering powerful insight and knowledge that serves to shape future efficiencies.

Highly differentiated from our competition, TZ stands out in a crowded marketplace. We have the only shape memory alloy (SMA) actuated electronic lock on the market with over 180 patent applications as reinforcement.
Our solutions are built on an open and extensible hardware and software technology platform that allows flexibility for customisation in configuration, workflow and operating practices, allowing customers total flexibility in line with the emerging needs of the future.

TZ SMArt Devices are not just intelligent locks – they are part of an integrated solution that delivers unlimited opportunities for an automated future. Smart Locks

Unlike conventional electronic locks, TZ SMArt Devices use advanced Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) materials as actuators and embedded sensors to optimize operation. This technology offers a number of strong advantages including allowing for innovative physical designs and packaging.
